Inspirations in Marketing
Thursday, 05 November 2009

According to Webster, inspiration is defined as to move, guide, or influence by divine inspiration and is a power that influences the emotions and intellect.

When I am inspired, it seems that I have moved beyond my normal capacity of moving through the world and have ideas that excite and motivate myself as well as others.  There seems to be no 'set' formula to inspiration.

People are inspired by nature, children, acts of love, kindness and giving, stories, beauty, courage, endurance, for example.  Both positive and negative acts can inspire people.  You make a mistake, experience the consequences and are inspired to change behavior so that you or someone else is never hurt again.

The pathways to experience inspiration are numerous.  What inspires you?  And what does inspiration really have to do with marketing?  How can you receive it more often?  We'll be exploring this and more as we share together about inspirations and how it empowers your marketing.
